This Sunday saw two matches played in the Kingsley Shield at Kingsley Indoor Bowls Club.

In a close match between a pair of Parks, Barnstaple's Rock Park and Bideford Victoria Park were neck and neck right up to the final end. With the final score of 63:67 it was Victoria Park who eventually clinched victory.

In the second match of the day it was Barnstaple (Ashleigh Road) who beat Combe Martin 66:59 in another close contest.

The Kingsley Shield is an annual winter contest held at Kingsley Indoor Bowls Club. The competition is staged for local outdoor bowling clubs during their closed season. This year's teams are from Combe Martin, Bideford's Victoria Park and The Strand, Barnstaple's Rock Park and Ashleigh Road.
