Membership

The Club has approximately 240 members. Our younger players tend to be sons, daughters or grandchildren of our adult members but we hope to expand this group.

At the beginning of the season the Club holds an Open Day for anyone interested in trying out the game. New members can pay just a month’s subscription to see if they will like the game and this also entitles them to training sessions, as well as all the other benefits of membership. The Club has 3 types of membership; Full Membership, Junior Membership and Social Membership. Social Members are invited to join the Club’s social events and can play bowls a maximum of once a month.

Summer Competitions: The Club runs in-house mid-week afternoon/evening Triples leagues with matches held each week. This proves to be very popular every year, with a good mixture of competitiveness and fun!

Summer Spoons: Each Monday morning and Wednesday evening the club run organised roll-up sessions for both men and women. Teams are selected on-the-day.

Club Nights: We regularly hold social events such as Card nights, Quizzes, BINGO and BBQs where members can get together and enjoy a drink with their friends.

We also hold competitions where members are invited to play bowling games such as ‘spider’,  where players stand at the circumference of the green and on the signal, bowl to try to get closest to a suspended spider in the centre of the green .

Kingsley Indoor Bowling Club have Club Rules that all members are expected to adhere to (many of these rules are common sense and you will find versions in existence at most bowling clubs).

Membership Costs 2023/24:

Full Membership £60
New Member First year £61 (this includes one ordinary share in the Ltd. Company)
Social Membership £7
Junior Membership (under 18) £25

Please click here for our Membership application form 2023 and for the Club Rules.

In addition to your annual membership fee, 'rink fees' apply. From 1st October a two and a half hour session will cost £3.00 per person.

Coaching

The Club has 6 qualified coaches, Shaun Doherty, Jeanette Symons, Mike Price, Margaret Dark, Mike Darch and Andy Presdee.

Current and new members can request coaching sessions, arrange to meet up with our friendly club members for ad-hoc roll-ups and join our regular sessions on Monday and Thursday mornings.

All Weather Entertainment

Our extensive indoor facilities are available, come rain or shine. Once you step inside the automatic doors at our entrance you will find yourself in a bright, warm, dry and well ventilated space where you can enjoy bowling with friends and competitors in comfort.

Alternatively join in on one of our social nights with a drink from our well stocked bar, browse the internet with our free WiFi or just settle down for a chat with a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate from our vending machine.
